Who's Canada 'snext Top Model?

NIKITA KICELUK

AGE: 20

HOMETOWN: Calgary

HEIGHT: 5'9"

LOOKS LIKE: A lanky Betty Paige -- ever since the makeover episode, when she got those cropped bangs.

WHY SHE'S STILL IN THE RUNNING: Nikita ain't the girl next door -- and the cutthroat fashion industry would love her fierce vibe almost as much as it loves the colour black. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that she walked runways at Singapore Fashion Week and did numerous photoshoots even before CNTM.

FAUX PAS: Brashness. Let's just say Nikita's blunt bangs match her attitude. Her tendency to say what polite models have never said before ("I look like a retard!" she exclaimed after seeing her photo last week) sometimes irks the judges, and doesn't exactly set a good example for the kids.

PREDICTED FINISH: 2nd. Nikita's not the Top Model that Canada needs -- and, judging by her prior modelling success overseas, she might not need Canada, either.

LINSAY WILLIER

AGE: 22

HOMETOWN: Edmonton (but was raised on Sucker Creek First Nation)

HEIGHT: 5'9"

LOOKS LIKE: Herself, mostly. If anything, she's along the lines of a dark haired, dark eyed Linda Evangelista.

WHY SHE'S STILL IN THE RUNNING: This health and child care student's confidence and ability to learn from her mistakes have continued to impress the judges, and she's got a fab runway walk for someone who claims to have no prior modeling experience.

FAUX PAS: Overconfidence. Mr. J. himself told me that every great model displays a sense of vulnerability -- and I have yet to see this former high school hockey team captain do that. There's also the whole age thing. Isn't 22, like, 45 in model years?

PREDICTED FINISH: 3rd. Linsay's come a long way, but likely won't go any further than Tuesday's first challenge.

MEAGHAN DEWARRENE-WALLER

AGE: 19

HOMETOWN: Winnipeg

HEIGHT: 5'9.5"

LOOKS LIKE: A slightly edgier version of the classic blond-haired, blue-eyed model. Think Molly Sims, or Canuck catwalker Heather Marks.

WHY SHE'S STILL IN THE RUNNING: Passion, baby. Since there were no auditions in Winnipeg, this architecture student boarded a plane to T.O. so she could try out. Also, she's a natural when it comes to posing for shoots and charming potential designers (as in the New York go-sees a couple weeks back).

FAUX PAS: Lack of confidence. Even with her braces off, Meaghan needs a lot of encouragement. She took it far too personally when stylists kept changing her hairdo at the last photoshoot.

PREDICTED FINISH: 1st. Meaghan's fresh-faced beauty and determination scream Top Model.
